Privacy policy

This policy describes which personal data the amsd.ro website collects, for what purpose, and which rights you have, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Who the controller is
The data controller is the Association of Physicians for Digital Standards (AMSD, Asociația Medicilor pentru Standarde Digitale). The association's identification details (registered office, tax identification code and registration number) will be published in this section.

2. What data we collect
The website collects data only when you request the AMSD report through the form on the home page:
- your email address;
- the professional role you select (physician, nurse, clinic manager or other role);
- the date and time of the request;
- a cryptographic fingerprint of your IP address, computed with a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored in our database.
When you send a membership request through the "Become a member" page, we collect:
- your full name;
- your email address;
- your specialty, your clinic or practice and your message, if you choose to fill them in;
- the language in which you used the site, the date and time of the request, and the same IP address fingerprint.
We do not collect medical data. Please do not email us information about any person's state of health.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- Email address and role: to send you the report and AMSD communications related to it. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form.
- Membership request data: to reply to your request to become a member. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before you become a member (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- IP address fingerprint: to limit abusive submissions of the forms. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. How long we keep it
We keep the data until you withdraw your consent, and for no longer than 24 months from the date of the request. The IP address fingerprint is deleted together with the rest of the record.
5. Who we share it with
The website and the database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as a processor and handles technical data, including the IP address, in order to deliver the pages and protect the website. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
We do not pass your data on to other organisations and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Cookies and local storage
The amsd.ro website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising tools.
If you choose the light or dark theme, the choice is kept in your browser (local storage) so you do not have to make it again on your next visit. It is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any right, write to us at contact@amsd.ro. We reply within one month.
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (dataprotection.ro).
8. Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page, together with the date of the update.
